Tess and Dan celebrated their beautiful summer wedding with a truly memorable riverside journey along the River Thames, combining historic surroundings, stunning scenery, and an unforgettable celebration with family and friends.
Their day began at St Mary's Church in East Molesey, a picturesque church located just steps from the Thames and opposite Kingston upon Thames, with the iconic Hampton Court Palace nearby. Bathed in glorious sunshine, the couple exchanged vows surrounded by their loved ones before emerging as newlyweds to begin the next chapter of their wedding adventure.
Following the ceremony, guests boarded a traditional Turks River Cruises barge for a relaxing cruise down the River Thames. The journey offered wonderful views of the riverside scenery as everyone travelled towards Richmond, enjoying the warm summer weather and celebrating the newly married couple.
Arriving at Richmond Bridge, guests took a leisurely walk along the Thames towpath to the elegant Bingham Riverhouse. This stylish boutique hotel, renowned for its riverside location, seasonal dining, and beautiful wedding and event spaces, provided the perfect setting for the afternoon and evening celebrations.
The riverside terraces overlooking the Thames offered a wonderful backdrop for family photographs, candid moments, and drinks with guests. Taking advantage of the beautiful sunshine, we also enjoyed a relaxed walk along the towpath with Tess and Dan to create a collection of natural and romantic Mr & Mrs portraits featuring the stunning Thames-side scenery.
With two photographers providing full-day coverage from multiple angles, every important moment was captured — from the church ceremony and river cruise to the family portraits, speeches, first dance, and evening celebrations. As the sun set over Richmond, a live band kept the dance floor full and the party continued late into the night, while many guests enjoyed the convenience of staying overnight at the hotel.
